In Class: Freewrite Unit 2 HELLLLPPPP
Well im sitting in class on Tuesday March 3rd at 9:37 am and we have a free write. Well I think I want to write about how confused I am over Unit 2. I don't know whats going on, I don't know what we have to do for the unit, and I really don't know how to pick a topic and think rhetorically. I am just lost and confused. Somebody HELLLLPPPPP!!! No but really, I think I have somewhat of an idea of how to think and write rhetorically, I think my problem is the way and the kind of topic we supposed to choose, and where to look for it. I don't know what the difference between primary and secondary (if thats what they are called). Really I just don't know. So if anyone happens to read this blog and have any advice to offer. Just post and help me out. This is going to be an interesting unit. Lol, its always interesting when you are going in head first and don't know what you are doing....

Hey Priest-
ReplyDeleteI know I'm reading your post kind of late after you had these questions but I was looking at your blog to post a comment on your topic proposal and I found your plea for help instead haha so I thought I could be of some assistance. I was really confused about Unit 2 also and I feel like I've gotten a better feel as to what we are supposed to do and I thought I'd help you out in case you read this. For my proposal I tried to think of something that I have a personal connection to...in my case something that was a widely discussed topic around my home town of Denver. Maybe you could do something that interests you and you have a personal connection to also? I know some people were upset about the way college football rankings have been made so maybe that would be a good topic or something to do with where you are from or what you will be doing after college would be good also. As far as primary sources and secondary sources go I talked to Amanda about it and she said that a primary source is something that is created in direct reaction to the topic so for example a cartoon in the newspaper, an article, or something said or written about the topic. Anyways I hope this helped a little bit...I needed all the help I could get on the beginning of this unit also. Good luck :)
